Lieutenant Rebecca Nelson
In 2014 the talented young kiwi musician enlisted as a reservist in The Royal New Zealand Navy to serve her country in voice as the official singer for the RNZN band. Rebecca now holds the rank of Lieutenant and has had the honour and privilege of singing at centenary commemorations in Gallipoli, The Somme and Passchendaele.
Some other highlights include singing at Highgrove House for His Royal Highness King Charles III and invited guests at a Royal Navy reunion as part of his 70th birthday celebrations and performing the New Zealand national anthem in front of 82,000 fans before the All Black took on England at Twickenham on the eve of the Armistice Day centenary. She has had the opportunity to perform with both The Royal Marines and The Band of the Welsh Guards over in the UK and even recorded an album with the latter.
